Most people suffering from acne have a tendency to foreswear the moisturizer altogether believing that it would do more harm then good. However, this could not be further away from the truth as almost every skin type wants this skin product for glowing and clear skin.

The general reasoning behind avoiding the use of moisturizer is just that it can make your skin more oily, so irritating acne. However, as long as you’re using the right kind of moisturizer, there’s little chance of it ever provoking your skin in an adverse manner even with the presence of acne.

Honestly, troublesome skin requires moisturizer benefits more then their normal counterparts. Most anti acne solutions work by drying the skin and without proper hydration, it can become coarse and scaly. However, regular use of moisturizer can help stop this and boost your skin health.

The thing to remember here before employing a moisturizer is to select the right one. Try and use products of the non comedogenic variety as they do not clog your pores leading to an acne breakout. This may also lead to further damage of the skin.

Also, opt for a moisturizer that has an oil free or water base. An oil based moisturizer can make your skin more oily and irritate your condition. However, a water based one would simply hydrate the skin adequately without making it greasy. The Exposed Moisture complex is a product. It is a product. It’s a lightweight gel which supplies moisture to your skin without making it oily. You can get it individually or as a part of the Exposed Six Piece Expanded Kit.

Today, you may also find two in one moisturizers which address both skin hydration as well as acne issues. These new generation moisturizers not only hydrate your skin but also prohibit the enlargement of acne causing bacteria. They are easily available in the market or alternatively, you may request your health practitioner for the same.

Since the importance of moisturization has been revealed, you should also familiarize yourself with the correct way to use your moisturizer. Ideally you must use the product twice daily- preferably once in the morning and once at night before going to bed.

What’s more, you must ideally apply the moisturizer after a cleaning session. Applying it over mucky skin could do more harm then good. The best time to moisturize is immediately after washing as this is when your skin soaks up maximum moisture.

So if you’re planning a skin care regime to combat your acne prone skin, do not forget to include moisturization in it.
