How to Treat Acne Vulgaris
Acne vulgaris is what we call acne. This skin problem usually starts during the teenage years and may hang on until a person is in their fifties. Since analyzing this problem, we have already developed various method to cure it. Still, there are more and more people who suffer from acne.
First thing first, a pimple is different from an acne. One pimple is just one pimple. However, if the pimples start to pile up, then that’s probably acne.
Acne starts off when you hit puberty. This is because the skin starts to stimulate copious amount of oil. As a result, the pores are blocked by dirt and get irritated, sprouting a pimple. More females suffer from acne although guys have the more severe cases. Following are the three things you have to consider when treating this skin problem.
Treatment of Acne Vulgaris
The severity of the condition usually predicts the acne vulgaris treatment used. Mild ones are usually treated with commercial cleansers or toners. Sometimes, even homemade treatments work well for this. Examples of these are garlic and oatmeal which can be conveniently found at home.
However, when it comes to severe cases, a different approach is necessary. Some acne vulgaris remedy option for the severe cases include antibiotics such as erythromycin, clindamycin and tetracycline. However, these can only be taken as prescribed by professionals.
Prevention of Acne Vulgaris
When it comes to acne, the best mode of action would be to get rid of the present pimples and prevent the others from erupting. Now, it’s actually easier to learn how to stop acne than getting rid of the ones that are already there. By simply keeping your face clean and clear of dirt, pimple growth would definitely decrease. In fact, if you want to find out how to stop acne, then I suggest you just continue your treatment methods. Using toners and cleansers regularly is good. Also, eating healthy seems to have a positive effect on acne.
One more thing, those who exercise regularly don’t really suffer from acne. The reason for this is that sweat turns into a cleanser that flushed out the toxins in our body. Just make sure that you get a good shower after exercising. Make sure not to rub your face forcefully when drying.
Removing Scars
When it comes to acne scars, you don’t have to worry too much. You can effectively treat scars with the help of orange or lemon peels. Also, you can find over the counter products that can do this for you.
One technology inspired way of removing acne scars is dermabrasion. This basically scrapes the surface of the skin so that new ones can grow. However, note that the process is painful and the skin takes time to grow back.
